Instructions for Picture Posting!
First,
so that you understand what you are doing, your pictures must be
“uploaded” from your computer to a “place” on the web. This is where The
Doll Page comes into play; they are a free of charge hosting service that
will store your pictures (on the web). So here is what you need to do:
-
Access the Doll Page at
www.thedollpage.com – you will need to
register, this is very easy and painless. Once all register, logon to
the Doll Page.
-
When you upload your pictures they will go either in
the “dolls” directory or the “fashion dolls” directory – you can select
by using the drop-down arrows. You can actually create your directories
but we can discuss later.
-
Click on upload photos (right hand side of page).
This will bring up a screen which you will fill-in.
-
Select the directory – most people use the “fashion
dolls” directory.
-
Tab or click in the next box – and click on browse
-
Navigate to the place on your computer where you
have your pictures stored, once you find the picture you can double
click on the name (i.e., charlotte3.jpg).
-
Repeat process for additional photos to be
uploaded.
-
Next tab to the title description and enter a name
here (i.e., Kitty in Cocktails)
-
Now tab to the search description box and type in
something (i.e., fashion dolls)
-
Next tab over to the description box and type in a
description (i.e., First Class Kitty with her hair down and her makeup
enhanced)
-
Now you are ready to click on upload
-
The system will upload the photos and will only take
a few moments – please wait.
-
Once complete the system will take you to one of the
photos that you loaded. We will assume you only loaded one picture - do
the following:
-
Place mouse on the picture and right click
-
Select Properties
-
Use mouse to highlight the address – be sure to get
all of it (i.e., http://........jpg)
-
Right click and select copy
-
Click on ok
-
Now you can access the forum you want to post at,
Prego’s or Deb’s.
-
Go to the “post a message” section and in the message
text box – right click and select paste. The address that you copied
will appear (i.e., http://www.thedollpage.com/photopost/data/2/17charlotte3.jpg?5636).
-
Add the following to the string:
-
In front of the http you must add <img src=
-
At the end of the string you must add >
-
The string will look like this now: <img src=http://www.thedollpage.com/photopost/data/2/17charlotte3.jpg?5636>
-
Be sure to fill in your name/email/subject…. Now you
can click on preview and see how your message looks, it will display the
photo too. If you are happy with the message and the photo you click on
post….. and you are done!
Now if
you want to post multiple pictures, upload all your photos and then you go
to each photo and repeat step 5 (thru 8) for each picture to obtain the
next picture’s string. Paste it in the message box next to your first
string and modify as necessary.
If you
want the pictures to be side-by-side you insert a space between the
strings (it will be one string separated by a “space” and then the next
string:

src=http://www.thedollpage.com/photopost/data/2/17charlotte3.jpg?5636>
If you
want the pictures to be in a row vertically you hit the “enter” or
“return” key between the strings:
