Summer Shorts Pattern for Tyler

Sewing
instruction for Tyler shorts :
- Fabric
- Matching
thread
- snap
- hemming lace
1. Cut 2
each of front and back
All seams 3/8
inch
2. Sew all
darts
3. With rights
sides together, sew 2 front pieces together.
Finger press the
seam open, clipping where necessary so that the seam will lay flat. Top stitch
both front sides 1/16" from seam.
4. Sew back
pieces at side.
Finger press the
seam open, clipping where necessary so that the seam will lay flat. Top stitch
both front sides 1/16" from seam.
5. Measure
hemming lace the combined waist width plus one inch.
Pin hem lace to
the waistband on the correct side of the fabric. Sew and turn lace to the
inside of the shorts. Press flat and trim excess seam fabric.
Topstitch 1/16"
from top of the shorts
6. Sew back
center seam up to "A". Clip curve so seam will lay flat
7. Hem legs to desired length. Sew inside leg
seam.
8. Back closure - fold back flap
as marked on pattern, then fold again matching notches. Topstitch.
9.Fit shorts on
doll and mark snap position
Hand sew snap
To print pattern:
- Place cursor
over the pattern piece (front and back are separate images)
- "right
click" your mouse
- a menu will
appear - scroll down to "save picture as"
- Choose a
convenient place on your computer to save the
*.jpg image.
Insert .jpg into
your favorite word processing or graphic software program and print. Please
be sure to check that the scale is correct.
